What Chataily remembers, and what it forgets.
Like a chat's memory: every piece of data we keep is listed below with what we use it for, how long we keep it and who else sees it. If it isn't on the list, we don't keep it.

What happens to what I write?
It takes a short trip: from you to Chataily, on to the AI that answers, and back to you. Nobody else reads it on the way.

Your message leaves your device encrypted.
Chataily
It saves it to your history, picks the AI and removes your name and email.
The chosen AI
It reads it to answer. By contract, it doesn't learn from it.

The answer stays in your history until you delete it.

The memory above is part of this policy. Each period starts once the data is no longer needed for what it states, unless its card says otherwise.
We don't use your data for advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you with legal effects.
Who looks after my data?
Chataily does. You can write to us about your data whenever you like.

What gives you the right to use it?
Only to run the service, charge for it, follow the law and keep it safe.

We process your account, conversations and files to perform the contract you accept when you sign up. We keep payment records to meet our legal obligations, and technical logs under our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Preference cookies are strictly necessary for the features you choose. If we ever want to use your data for anything else, we'll ask you first.
Who else reads my messages?
Only the AI that answers, and only to answer. No person reads them unless you ask us to.

To produce each answer we send your message, your attachments and the context it needs from the conversation to the provider of the chosen model: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Mistral AI or, for Llama, the company that hosts it. We do it through their business services, whose terms forbid using that data to train models and limit how long they keep it. [CONFIRM WITH EACH PROVIDER]
Our team doesn't read your conversations, unless you ask us to so we can fix a problem, we are looking into reported abuse, or the law requires it.
Does my data leave my country?
It may. When it crosses borders we apply legal safeguards, and you can always choose the AI yourself.
Fine print
Some providers process data outside your country, for example in the United States or, depending on the model, in other countries. When they do, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or, where the provider is certified, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
If you'd rather your messages didn't reach a given provider, choose the model yourself instead of using Automatic.
Can I delete my chats?
Yes, one by one or all at once. If you close your account, we delete everything within 30 days.

You can delete any conversation from your history, or all of them from Settings › Privacy. We erase them from our systems, backups included, within 30 days.
If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
What if the person writing is a minor?
Chataily isn't for anyone under 18. If their data reaches us, we delete it.

The service isn't meant for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a minor has given us personal data, write to us at support@chataily.com and we'll delete it.
What rights do I have over my data?
See, correct, delete or take away your data. We answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, erase or export your data, and to object to or restrict its use. Write to support@chataily.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
